If you sign up for a monthly plan, you will own your website after 12 months; annual and upfront plans have full ownership immediately. You can absolutely move your website to another web server once you own your website! Note that depending on your website features/functionality, you may need to purchase licenses which can vary.

Because we copy the site to our cloud servers before switching your domain, visitors won’t notice a thing; any “downtime” is limited to the brief moment DNS updates propagate. Most registrars complete that update in a few minutes, though on rare occasions it can take up to 48 hours. Either way, your old site stays live until the new one is ready, so there’s virtually zero interruption. We also initialize DNS updates during low traffic, late night hours to minimize visitors being affected by the propagation.
